Today we will talk about a young musician from Italy called Davide Lo Surdo who went down in history for his unique skill on the guitar.
Davide Lo Surdo is recognized worldwide as the Fastest Guitarist in History for his record of playing 129 notes per second and this has been confirmed by the famous publication Rolling Stone Magazine.
He is called the Fastest Guitarist In History also on the cover of the Mexican magazine “GuitarraMX” on July 2021.
Davide achieves this record by playing a sequence of 5 different arpeggios based on the first three strings of the instrument (E – B – G) using the Sweep Picking technique.
The main techniques that Davide uses for achieving a high speed on the guitar are: the alternate picking, the flat picking, the correct fingering position and the use of the metronome.
Davide plays the record of 129 notes per second in each of his concerts around the world, playing seated in a classical guitarist position during the song “Burn” by Deep Purple.
Last year, on November 20th, Davide performed at the 15th anniversary of Rolling Stone Magazine at arena “Sambódromo do Anhembi” in São Paulo, Brazil in front of 15.000 people.
Davide was born on July 24, 1999 in Rome and started playing guitar at 9 years old influenced by his neighbor. He started touring at the age of 16 years old and at his young age, he already toured the world including countries such as the United States, India, Mexico, Bolivia, Brazil and Europe.
On May 5th 2021, Davide released his first song called “Resilience”.
