Violinist Fritz Kreisler and Rachmaninoff performed Frank’s sonata in «Carnegie Hall». Violinist played without notes and… suddenly memory failed him already in the first part! The cruiser came closer to the pianist and looked in the notes, trying to find that beat where he could «catch» the partner.

– Where are we?! Where are we?! – desperately stitched the violinist.

– In «Carnegie Hall», – without ceasing to play, Rakhmaninov responded with a whisper.
